Mary the Martians Earthly Adventure

Mary the Martian traveled to Earth from Mars to learn about our culture, the first thing she picks up is a People Magazine.
The first thing she sees a picture of a famous women on the cover, from the headlines she learns that the Earthlings enjoy dancing and bikinis, she also learns a Sunday school teacher killed a young earthling and that frightens her a little bit but she keeps on reading, she finds out Lindsey Lohan got a new bag, she suspects humans must like expensive bags. Shes sees the women dressed up in fancy dresses, showing skin and wearing a lot of makeup she concludes they must be insecure about their faces to have to cover it up with so much paint. Mary reads more, boob surgery and face surgery for wrinkles, wow she wonders in awe these beings really must be insecure in their natural skin. "OK i'v had just about enough of these beings and I haven't even met one!" she says, "I'm going back home to where things and creatures make sense!"

In the main cast of breaking bad there is two women, and about 5 men and a baby. The ages of the actors range from 16-54 and the baby under 1. There was an overweight guy in the show but they killed him off. The leading role is held by a man. Some of the unimportant women characters dress rather provocatively, because the scene was in a strip club, but the main cast dress casual, or business. The main women in the cast are sisters, one is a thief that sees a therapist for her stealing problem and her husband a DEA agent, the other one is a mother of 2, the baby and 16 year old and her husband is the main character is a chemist and teacher, in the first season he had been diagnosed with lung cancer and given only 6 months to live, the families financial situation was not looking good, so he had to think of a quick way to make a lot of money for his family for when he was gone, and he did that by making methamphetamine.After his wife found out she was very unhappy and decided to sleep with her boss, which kind of portrays her to being a whore in my eyes. None of the characters are homosexuals. The intended audience is adults because there is drug use, violence, and swearing.Overall I don't think that show accurately portrays women, because in real life if a womans husband has cancer and had risked everything for his family to be financially set when he was dead, I think his wife might show him some love, considering he is going to die and not go sleeping around. Even if she doesn't agree with what he did, he did it all for her and the kids.

This commercial relates to my life because I have a cat, named Shadoe and I have to buy her food a lot.Also in the commercial the cat is singing the meow mix song and I have always thought it was cute.

It has Repetition because in all of their commercials a cat is singing the meow mix song. It has Humor because the cat is singing and that's not normal for a cat, obviously.Warm and Fuzzy because when I see a kitty it always makes me smile. This add would make me want to buy its product because it appears that the cat loves the food so much it sings for it.

Super Bowl-for media class

Well, i think they allow those types of advertising because the companies that paid for the commercial spot paid alot of money for that spot, so they should be able to advertise just about anything they want to. And just because advertising about something that is bad for your health doesn't mean they are forcing you to go buy it, if you buy it and are trying to look out for your health then it is your own fault, not the company that had the advertisements, and not the Super Bowls.
